We plant gingers in pots and polybags. It is handy and we can have fresh gingers at any time.

I have heard that you should keep the roots contained in pots that are not too large for maximum fruiting, so the nutrients go into the production of fruit rather than the plant's development.

http://www.victoryseeds.com/frost/fl.html
Here you can get the last frost time in different parts of Florida. Start the seedling stage (indoors) 5 weeks before the last frost, which would be around middle January, and you'll be fine.

Yes. Carrots are the best, and it's good to know how to grow them, especially if you have a good land. I love growing carrots.

Are there any health benefits of ginger? If I live in a Savannah climate, are there any new precautions and procedures to take heed of?

I moved to stevia a few years ago, and now do find sugar to be the weird tasting one! I have a hard time drinking sodas in particular, which is an excellent thing as it cuts out so many empty calories that most of us aren't even aware we're consuming so many of.

Crystal: Dried stevia should last a year or two if you keep it stored in an airtight contain in a cool dark place.

I like to mash mint and stevia leaves together and brew my tea with them. A handful of each type of leaf makes the perfect gallon of iced tea.

I removed the buds from my youthful bell pepper plants early in June to encourage more plant growth, like with tomatoes, but they don't look too happy about it. Was this wrong? Will my plants produce anymore?
